KIEV. July 30. UNN. In December 2013 at a meeting of the UNESCO Committee in Baku (Azerbaijan) Petrikivsky painting will be nominated to win a status of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, reports UNN with reference to the media office of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
As part of an international promotional Petrikivsky painting tour there is a package of exhibitions abroad. In March 2013 it took place in Brussels during the week of Petrikovsky painting. In June 2013 It was represented the biggest exhibition at the headquarter of UNESCO in Paris. In addition, it is directing negotiation to run an exhibitions in China and Japan.
It is necessary to mention that during a June 2013 session, that was held in Phonom Penh (Kingdom of Kambodia), The World Heritage Committee of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), has included two Ukrainian cultural objects - the ancient city of Chersonese, and the wooden churches in the Carpathian region Ukraine and Poland in the World Heritage List.
