Must-see in Ukraine > The city electric train will start running in September

“The city electric train, which is also called “above-ground metro”, will start running in September. There will be 12 stops on the line altogether: “Petrovka”, “Syrets”, “Rubezhovskaya”, “Borschagovka”, “Kiev Volynskiy”, “Kardachy”, “Vokzalnaya”, “Vydubichi”, “Left bank”, “Darnitsa”, “Levoberezhnaya”, “Troyeschina”. And seven more stations will be opened next year” – “Segodnya” informs.

The train will enable inhabitants of dormitory areas to reach metro stations “Vokzalnaya”, “Vydubichi”, “Levoberezhnaya”, “Petrovka”, “Syrets”, “Beresteyskaya” without making additional stops on the route. There will be a big transport center for transferring at “Levoberezhnaya” station. “Syrets” station will be equipped with rain sheds and the platform will be set on the level of a carriage.

In” Kievpasstrans” they plan to bring the city`s above-ground passenger transport closer to the train. In particular, the route of the trolley-bus №27 will be extended to “Kiev Volynskiy” station. The train is planned to run every 12-15 minutes. The whole time on the route will be about an hour. It should be reminded that only two stations of the system operate now: “Petrovka” and “Troyeschina”, which were opened in September 2009.
