The Ministry of Culture is going to introduce electronic theatre tickets. The Minister of Culture and Tourism Mikhail Kulinyak has informed about it. According to M. Kulinyak, the aim of this innovation is to enable people to enter Internet at any moment and order tickets to Kiev Opera and Ballet Theatre, Ivan Franko Theatre or Russian Drama Theatre named after Lesya Ukrainka.
The Minister also mentioned that buyers were expected to get the opportunity to pay for tickets through Internet and print them by themselves.
According to him, various suggestions, which could satisfy the state, theatres and audience, will be explored and worked through by the end of spring.
As it has been informed before, Kiev City State Administration initiated creation of an integrated automatized system of selling theatre tickets. In Kiev three national theatres are within the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Culture: Opera and Ballet Theatre named after Taras Shevchenko, Academic Dramatic Theatre named after Ivan Franko and Academic Theatre of Russian Drama named after Lesya Ukrainka.
